RHYTHM OF LEARNING
WHERE MUSIC MEETS EDUCATION
THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC
From birth, parents instinctively use music to calm and soothe children, to express love and joy, and to engage and interact. Music ignites all areas of a child's development, skills, and school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, and linguistic areas. It helps the mind and body work together. Music helps children learn the sounds and meaning of words.
For both children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills. Whatever you're looking for, try to bring music from the classroom to the home.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY ABOUT OUR MUSIC SCHOOL
When my wife retired in 2003 she wanted to take piano lessons again. She had studied piano as a child. We bought a piano and searched for a piano teacher. Margarita Shvets was
referred to us by a piano expert. I decided to take lessons also because I had never studied
music before. Miss Rita was gracious enough to accept us as adult students. Margarita
proved to be very gifted and talented as a teacher and piano teacher. She was very patient
especially with me being uneducated in the ways of music. Miss Rita was thoroughly
knowledgeable in music theory and history. I learned to read music and play piano to my
satisfaction. My wife picked up again very easily where she left off as a child and plays
brilliantly now. We enjoyed working with Margarita so much that we continued our lessons for more than 15 years. We highly recommend Margarita as a teacher for anyone starting out or continuing in their musical endeavors.
