TERMS & CONDITIONS
Welcome to the Rhythm of Learning Music School! We want your experience to be pleasant and fruitful. Below are important policies that you should be aware of during you or your child’s time at the Rhythm of Learning Music School. If you have any questions regarding these policies, please stop by our front desk or ask your private teacher about any concerns that may arise.
Private lessons typically will take place once a week during a certain allotted time each week. Your enrollment reserves a specific date and time slot in your instructor’s schedule. If the student is attending Zoom/Skype lessons, the student must call the school at (847) 309-0916 to schedule the date and time of the lesson.
Your enrollment reserves a specific date and time in your instructor’s schedule. If the student is attending group lessons, the student or student’s guardian must come to The Rhythm of Learning Music School to select the date and time of the group lesson.
The Rhythm of Learning Music School does NOT provide refunds for student absences which include, but are not limited to: travel, school, illness, etc. Like other professional services, we reserve a specific day of the week and time slot in your instructor’s schedule, which we are unable to fill in your absence. In the event of an expected absence, faculty absence, or Rhythm of Learning Music School closure, your instructor will offer two (2) dates to reschedule your lesson within the next month or another instructor will substitute for that lesson. Additional time can also be added to the following lessons to make up for the missed lesson time. If the student is absent from the agreed upon rescheduled lesson time, the lesson will be considered a student absence and will not be refunded. If you are unable to attend either of the two (2) rescheduled dates, the lesson will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
If you are unable to attend your lesson in person, we encourage you to schedule a Zoom/Skype lesson or send a recording of a piece you are working on for your instructor to provide feedback via email.
The Rhythm of Learning Music School must be given 24 hour notice before an absence or the lesson will not be made up and payment will not be refunded.
SCHOOL CLOSINGS - INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather, the Rhythm of Learning Music School will delay or close accordingly. Call (847) 309-0916 and the voicemail will be updated with official announcements. Our website will also be updated regularly. For morning classes, the voicemail and website will be updated by 7:30AM for morning lessons and by 1:00PM for afternoon and evening lessons.
INSUFFICIENT CLASS ENROLLMENT
If enrollment in a class falls below the minimum number of students, the Rhythm of Learning Music School reserves the right to cancel the course or to offer the class with an adjusted tuition rate, duration, and/or number of sessions. If a class is cancelled, refunds will be issued within 10 to 15 business days.
The Rhythm of Learning Music School reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, inappropriate behavior, delinquent payments, overdue tuition payments, and/or parental or guardian noncompliance with The Rhythm of Learning Music School policies.
All students enrolling in a monthly or Pay-Per-Lesson payment plan with The Rhythm of Learning Music School must have a valid credit card or completed payment authorization form on file.
Payments by check must be coordinated with Margarita Shvets. Check payments may be submitted by mail to 122 Hawthorn Center, Suite #423, Vernon Hills, IL, 60061 or submitted directly to a Rhythm of Learning Music School staff member. Please note: Checks submitted by mail must arrive by its due date, not mailed on that date. The Rhythm of Learning Music School does not hold responsibility for payments lost in the mail.
Students/families must contact Margarita Shvets at (847) 878-9249 immediately with payment information or communicate when the payment will be available. If staff is not contacted, payment must be received within 14 days after the delinquent date, or lessons will be discontinued until payment is made. Please note: future scheduled payments will not be modified to accommodate late payments. In consideration of the acceptance of my child as a student in the music program, I agree to amend any claims and demands made on behalf of my child. If you receive a discount and you withdraw your child before the agreement expires, you must pay the difference between the discount and original price for the period of time attended at The Rhythm of Learning Music School.
The Rhythm of Learning Music School reserves the right to suspend or discontinue instruction of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling their financial obligations at any time during a semester. If scheduled payment is missed, a student’s account becomes delinquent.
REFUND & WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Tuition payments do not include a one time $25 registration fee. Families on payment plan (Monthly or Pay-Per-Lesson) will be responsible for remaining balance on account.

Faculty and staff are not responsible for supervising your children outside of designated teaching time. If the student is at the facility for more than 10 minutes after the lesson, there will be a $10 up-charge, adding a dollar for every extra minute their responsible party is late.
